From getting ready at a stunning Spanish-style Airbnb in La Jolla to celebrating with family and friends overlooking the Pacific Ocean, every part of the day reflected the couple’s vision for an intimate and personal San Diego wedding experience.
The couple chose San Diego for their destination wedding because of a meaningful memory from the very beginning of their relationship. Their first trip together as a couple was to San Diego, and when they checked into their hotel, the front desk greeted them with, “Welcome, Mr. and Mrs. Schulz.” They laughed at the mix-up and spent the rest of the trip playfully calling each other by that name. Years later, when planning their wedding, returning to San Diego felt meant to be. Now, they are officially Mr. and Mrs. Schulz.
The wedding day began with getting ready photos at a beautiful ocean-view Airbnb in La Jolla. The Spanish-style home featured warm stucco walls, arched doorways, a tiled fountain, and a sunlit courtyard that created a romantic Southern California atmosphere for the morning. Instead of traditional bridesmaids and groomsmen, the couple chose to spend the morning getting ready together with their closest shared group of friends.
K&C wanted their wedding at Scripps Seaside Forum to feel effortless, welcoming, and focused on genuine connection rather than formal traditions. They intentionally created a flexible timeline that allowed them to fully enjoy the company of their guests throughout the day.
Their wedding design featured a refined coastal color palette inspired by the natural tones of La Jolla and the Southern California coastline. White, soft green, beige, and baby blue details complemented the oceanfront setting beautifully. Organic floral arrangements added movement and texture throughout the ceremony and reception spaces while maintaining a clean and modern aesthetic.
The ceremony overlooking the ocean at Scripps Seaside Forum featured a low floral installation designed to enhance the coastal scenery rather than distract from it. The panoramic ocean views, soft light, and intimate atmosphere.
